2026-2027 Info
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Dry Creek Elementary!
My name is Amanda Brown, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Dry Creek Elementary. This year marks my tenth year at Dry Creek, and I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible school community. Together, our scholars, staff, and families create a culture of excellence, belonging, and high expectations for every child.
At Dry Creek, we are committed to providing every scholar with a rigorous, engaging, and meaningful educational experience. As a proud Community School, we continue to be a hub of learning, support, and connection for our students and families. We believe in educating the whole child by ensuring every scholar has access to the academic, social-emotional, and wellness supports they need to thrive.
Through strong partnerships with families, community organizations, and local service providers, we work together to remove barriers, strengthen relationships, and create a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. Our dedicated staff provides challenging, relevant learning experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. Together, we are preparing our scholars to become confident learners, responsible citizens, and future leaders.
Family engagement is one of the greatest predictors of student success, and we encourage every family to become an active partner in their child's education. There are many ways to get involved throughout the year, including:
- Associated Student Body/Parent Teacher Association (ASB/PTA): Support school events, programs, and activities while building connections within our school community.
- School Site Council (SSC): Collaborate with school leadership to review and support school programs, goals, and budgets.
- English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC): Advocate for and support the academic success of our multilingual learners.
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am filled with optimism and excitement for all that lies ahead. Together, we will continue to build upon Dry Creek's strong tradition of excellence while creating new opportunities for growth, achievement, and innovation. Excellence is not simply a destination—it is a continuous journey of learning, reflection, and improvement.
We also invite everyone to celebrate our school spirit each week:
- Wednesdays – College Day: Wear apparel representing your favorite college or university.
- Thursdays – Choose Kindness Day: Spread positivity by wearing a kindness-themed shirt or demonstrating acts of kindness.
- Fridays – Dry Creek Spirit Day: Show your school pride by wearing Dry Creek spirit wear or our school colors, navy and white.
I look forward to a school year filled with learning, collaboration, and celebration. Thank you for being such an important part of the Dry Creek Elementary family. Together, we will make the 2026–2027 school year an outstanding one for every scholar.
Warmly,
Amanda Brown
